College keeps me pretty busy and most weeks I end up going through a drive-thru for either lunch or dinner. Sometimes I contemplate these things as I go through a drive-thru.
When I go through a drive-thru and the person on the other side of the microphone asks, “How are you doing today?” do they expect me to respond, “I am feeling a little famished”?
Sometimes I am the only person at the drive-thru. I place my order and drive to the “second window” where an employee is hanging over the window sill. As I roll down my car window, they stick out their hand and repeat the amount I owe. When do they think I had time to gather my money to pay them? This is especially confusing to me when they don’t tell me the amount I owe until I arrive at the “second window”.
Too little:
How come some fast food places don’t put napkins in the bag?
Too much:
Where do the fast food places come up with the following ratios?
2 large handfuls of ketchup packets : 1 child-size hamburger
1 large fistful of mild taco sauce + 4 extra packets : 1 taco
9 oz of ice + 3 oz of soda : 12 oz size cup
1 pound of salt : 1 small box of French fries
