At the end of summer I met this guy who seemed interesting, funny, and was definitely flirting with me. Well, me and my ever-reserved-self downplayed the whole situation. Downplayed it until someone reprimanded me, “He tried to kiss you and you backed away? How old are you anyway?” After coming out from under my rock-o-shame, I thought “Sure, what could it hurt to have some fun?” Next time I was at his place, we did a little lip locking. It wasn’t too long after that we decided that the kissing games were over but we would remain friends. I know, I know, people always say that and it rarely happens. But here is the twist to the story: he takes classes at the same school that I attend. So we really do see each other often and pretend the whole lip locking never happened.
As Paul Harvey would say, here is the rest of the story. Fast forward to four months later: class registration has begun. And last month I found out that I couldn’t enroll in the classes I had originally planned to take. Wouldn’t you know that the only class I could enroll in was the class with my lip locking friend? Perfect. Then last week the class administrator started working on team assignments within the class. I wasn’t worried…what were the odds in a class of 50 students that my lip locking friend and I would be together?
On my chair this morning was a list of the teams. Team 9: my name, lip locking friend’s name. Oh snap! Here’s to a semester with me, my lip locking friend, and our little secret!

This post is dedicated to Buzz.
Buzz is our first outside follower, way-to-go Buzz! After realizing that neither of us know any characters that go by the name "Buzz", I decided to investigate. Now, besides being a 40-something year old man- and a country singer at that- Buzz also stalks a good number of other blogs. I admit all this is on the creepy side, but I can see why he would want to follow us. I mean, it's obviously because he likes ghiradelli sundaes so much and we just happen to have one in our picture. Also, we're ridiculously charming. And funny. That being said, I am not encouraging this behavior...stalk someone your own age.

Testing, testing...is this mic on?
If you had been able to shadow me this week at college, you would have been just as flabbergasted as I was at the things one might hear. But since you find it cheaper to avoid paying tuition, here is a sample of what you are missing:
In response to a final email after about seven inquiring emails from the same individual within a ten minute timeframe: “Tell him to figure out his own problems. Retard.”
“Stand up! I want to show you this cool move I learned from an FBI agent that will bring you to your knees.”
“We used Big Bertha in our class presentation today.”
“I totally have a man-crush on Dr. LeBaron.”
“Is it wrong to wait until you are married to kiss?” “I don’t know that it is necessarily wrong. But you would be missing out on a lot of fun!”
“Who would like to play the role of Buffy, the stripper?”
I know what you're thinking...what are you waiting for? Apply for college today!

"when the evil Shredder attacks..."
I'm often impressed by the things you learn at college. Some days I get to thinkin' I might sign up- just to get in the loop on all this college action. Most days I just check my helpful college hints guide I keep full of all these tips you leave me, though, and then I feel pretty alright in my meanderings.
Speaking of morning routines... somebody needs to tell my roommate to quit leaving her hair from her brush in the toilet. It's disgusting and my new routine is avoiding looking in the general direction of the toilettle area without my glasses on. Otherwise I kind of freak when I see a blurry mass of fur. Oh come on, don't give me any of this "what else could it be?" business, either. There are plenty of weird things in Utah, I don't know what's goin' on in these sewers. Quite frankly, I prefer for that to be one thing you learn in college that you don't share. blechk.

Start the day with a solid morning routine
Just like most people, I have a routine when getting ready in the morning. By far the most complicated feat is when I simultaneously blow-dry my hair and brush my teeth to “save time”. Impressive, I know. I learned it at college…
