Today I learned a valuable lesson in college. When your teacher asks you to pair up in class and "spot each other", a good idea is probably to remember what you're supposed to be doing and not duck and shimmy to the side when your partner comes tumbling down at you. This may reduce glares and sarcastic comments from said partner. On the other hand, I didn't get hit, and she ducked her fall into a somersault, so I'd say it was a pretty good success all the way around.

Dude, you totally "spotted" her. You spotted her running at you, quickly deduced that you would be wounded if she hit you, and used your common sense to avoid writhing in pain.
